1.Who We Are

Solid Line Inc. is a California corporation operating solidline.dev under the DBA Solid Line Development. For purposes of applicable privacy law, Solid Line Inc. is the data controller for personal information collected through our services. We are based in San Diego County, California, USA.

2.Scope

This Policy applies to the solidline.dev website, tools hosted on or linked from this domain, software applications distributed by Solid Line Inc., and professional service engagements with Solid Line Inc. It does not apply to third-party services we reference or integrate with.

What We Do Not Collect

Our browser-based tools (including the Wood Movement Calculator) run entirely client-side — inputs and outputs are never transmitted to our servers. We do not collect government IDs, health data, financial account numbers, biometrics, or information from children under 13.

4.How We Use It

We use collected information only to: provide and operate the Services; respond to your communications; send service updates and (where opted in) product announcements; improve Services through aggregate usage analysis; prevent fraud and unauthorized access; and comply with applicable law.

We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months.

5.Legal Bases (GDPR)

For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland: we process personal data under (a) Contract — to perform services you've engaged us for; (b) Legitimate Interests — security, fraud prevention, service improvement; (c) Consent — for marketing communications or optional diagnostic data, which you may withdraw at any time; or (d) Legal Obligation.

6.Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share it only with: service providers processing data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements (hosting, forms, email, payments); clients as required to deliver contracted work; legal authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights or safety; and acquirers in a merger or sale, with prior notice. No other sharing occurs without your explicit consent.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies; some functionality may be affected. We honor Do Not Track signals for analytics tracking.

8.Data Retention

Contact and inquiry data: up to 3 years after last contact. Professional services records: 7 years after project completion (California business records requirements). Payment records: as required by tax and financial law (typically 7 years). Server and application logs: 90 days, then deleted. You may request earlier deletion subject to legal retention obligations.

9.Security

We implement commercially reasonable measures including HTTPS/TLS for all web traffic, access controls for systems holding personal data, and vendor security reviews. No internet transmission is 100% secure. In the event of a breach affecting your rights, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by law.

10.Children (COPPA)

Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at info@solidline.dev and we will delete it promptly.

11.California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the following rights:

To exercise California rights, submit a verifiable request to info@solidline.dev. We respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf.

California Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83): We do not share personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes.

12.EEA / UK / Switzerland Rights (GDPR)

You have the rights to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; erasure ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal exceptions; restriction of processing; data portability in a machine-readable format; object to processing based on legitimate interests; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

13.International Transfers

Solid Line Inc. is US-based. If you access our Services from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ. For EEA/UK transfers, we rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

14.Third-Party Links & Integrations

Our site and applications may link to or integrate with third-party services. This Policy does not apply to those services. Common integrations may include Apple, Google, Hostinger, Tally.so, and payment processors. Review each third party's privacy policy independently.

15.Changes

We may update this Policy by posting revised Terms with a new effective date. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
